Dr. Tamzeed Ahmed graduated from Chittagong Medical College in 1988. He started his career with the Institute of Post-graduate Medicine & Research, Dhaka in 1989. He obtained MRCP from Royal College of Physicians, UK in 1995, and from 1997 onwards, he worked in Cardiology at Wentworth Hospital, Durban, South Africa. He worked as Specialist Cardiologist at King Abdul Aziz Medical City, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He then obtained FRCP from Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Glasgow, UK in 2005. He became a Fellow of American College of Cardiology, USA in 2007.

Dr. Tamzeed has over 12 years of experience in the field of Interventional Cardiology. He is vastly experienced in performing coronary, carotid and peripheral Angiogram and Angioplasty through radial and femoral route. He is also skilled in implanting Intra Cardiac Device like ICD, CRT-P, and CRT-D. He attended and presented papers in different scientific seminars on cardiovascular diseases in France, Singapore, Spain, Japan, Malaysia, India, UK and USA. He has a number of publications in various national and international journals. Before joining Apollo Hospitals Dhaka, he was working as Senior Consultant – Cardiology in Ibrahim Cardiac Hospital & Research Institute, Dhaka.
