Prof. (Dr.) Md. Shahab Uddin Talukder graduated from Rajshahi Medical College in 1983. He served government services in different hospitals of the country till 1985. After that, he went to Islamic Republic of Iran and served health Service of Iran. He took interest in Internal Medicine with special focus in Cardiology and got his training in Internal Medicine in Shaheed Shawardi Hospital, Dhaka and Dhaka Medical College & Hospital. He then obtained D.Card. and FCPS (Medicine). Prof. Shahabuddin has more than 10 years of experience in Interventional Cardiology. He underwent Interventional Cardiology training in NICVD Dhaka and Jeslok Hospital, Mumbai (India), and especially trained on Intra-Cardiac Device (ICD, CRT-P, CRT-D). Currently in Apollo Heart Cath-lab, he is successfully performing angiogram by radial route, carotid and peripheral angiogram and angioplasty; complicated cases of Chronic Total Occlusion and ICD implantation. He is faculty member of CTO Live, organized by CVRF and also faculty member of TCT. He has many interesting and challenging case publications in home and abroad.  Prof. Shahabuddin Talukder was working as Professor of Cardiology and Vice Principal of Z.H. Sikder Women’s Medical Hospital before joining Apollo Hospitals Dhaka in September 2006.
