A Health Talk session was organized by Apollo Hospitals Dhaka on 8th March 2012, Thursday on the observance of World Kidney Day at hospital MHC clinic. Consultants and Patients of Apollo Kidney & Urology Centre participated and exchanged their views. Dr. Krishna Mohan Sahu, Coordinator & Senior consultant - Nephrology, Dr. Gulshan K. Mukhiya, Consultant – Nephrology, and Dr. Waheed Zaman- Coordinator & Senior consultant – Urology talked about kidney health and kidney disease as well as its prevention and treatment. Consultants highlighted that around 20 million people in Bangladesh are suffering from kidney disease and millions more are at risk. Dr. Shagufa Anwar, General Manager, Business Development of Apollo Hospitals Dhaka said Apollo Hospital is taking steps to aware people about kidney disease and offering kidney checks for its early detection. Patients also spoke and expressed their views about Apollo Kidney Centre and its services. Senior Management of Apollo Hospitals Dhaka were present in the occasion.
