 On 7 July 2009, renowned interventional cardiologist Dr. Satoru Sumitsuji from Osaka University, Japan performed some complicated procedures in Cath Lab of Apollo Hospitals Dhaka on patients having chronic total occlusion of arteries of heart. This was Dr. Sumitsuji’s first visit to Bangladesh and he expressed his pleasant surprise upon seeing the ultramodern facilities and services that Apollo Heart Centre provides for its patients. In this daylong program Prof. Dr. Md. Shahab Uddin Talukder, Coordinator & Consultant – Cardiology, of Apollo Hospitals Dhaka led the team in these difficult procedures in collaboration with Dr. Sumitsuji.
