On the evening of October 22, 2009 a scientific seminar was organized on “Updates on Advanced Patient Care Management” at a local hotel in Khulna for local community physicians. Dr. Shagufa Anwar, General Manager of Business Development, briefed the audience about the hospital infrastructure, patient safety measures, infection control procedure, medical records repository, and unique waste management system of Apollo Hospitals Dhaka. Dr. M. Ali, Consultant - Bone and Joint Centre, explained the modern treatment Apollo is providing for the patients of sports and trauma injury, hip and knee replacement, arthroscopy, ligament reconstruction, etc. Dr. Abdullah Al Mamun, Consultant-Internal Medicine, in his presentation talked about updated treatment modalities in the field of Rheumatology. The doctors’ community of Khulna urged for more of such experience sharing programs in the coming days. In the morning, both Consultants attended local patients in a Health Clinic within the city.
