Death of a patient will be declared by the concerned doctor and will be informed to the patient’s relatives. Police will be informed in case of MLC (medical legal case).
mortuary & DEATH CERTIFICATE
After providing proper death care, the body will be taken on a stretcher to the hospital mortuary, accompanied by nursing supervisor/charge nurse and duty manager, along with at least one of the attendants of the deceased. The hospital will keep the dead body in the mortuary for eight hours free of cost. The dead body can be kept in our mortuary for 72 hours after the time of death with a charge of BDT 200 per hour or BDT 2,000 per day (whichever is lower). After settling the bills, the dead body shall be handed over to the relatives, along with death certificate. We do not provide dead body transportation service. However, on request, duty manager may help you to arrange local ambulance to carry the dead body.
Dead bodies from outside:
We keep outside dead bodies for a maximum of 72 hours on the basis of availability of the mortuary space at the same price mentioned above. To avail the mortuary service, you have to submit original death certificate, along with the dead body. Hospital authority reserves all the rights to take any decision in this regard.
